4. Creating Student Journals – Educators must encourage students to keep a street map of their pre-search journey. It might include wonders, words, definitions, reflections, and “Need To Know” questions, This can be done utilizing a reflective journal. You can ask students to create entries to reflect on their research trip activity. The teacher might create a rubric that uses the different parts of critical thinking. These the different parts of critical thinking can be discussion prompts in the student journal.
5. Defining the learning goal/focus on – Please understand that requesting questions, pre-search, and research is a process. While the final objective is to attempt to find an answer, remind students they could run into more questions first. It is only through this process that real learning takes place. The focus must be on the procedure rather than the answer. It has its formation in the questioning and pre-search time frame. Students may then look them up or double-click a node to broaden the tree. When the mouse hovers over a node, one can see the description. You can even click and move individual nodes to go them around to help clarify cable connections.
